How does the learning work?

This camp will be taught by Rafid Hoda. He has 9 years of experience teaching coding to kids and adults all around the world.

Basics of Roblox Studio

Roblox Studio is the software that lets anyone in the world build their own Roblox game. We cover the basic tools and interface so kids can start building their worlds.

Game Design

We start learning simple game design by building out a simple world that game players can go through. SpawnLocation, Blocks, Colors, etc.

Programming

Inside of Roblox everything is programmable. We start simple by making trampolines and conveyor belts to show how objects can be manipulated. Later on we code our own lava that makes the player die.

Publication

There are several steps we need to go through to publish games on the Roblox platform to ensure a safe environment for everyone. We'll go through everything.

Game Video & Video Tutorial

The ultimate test of knowledge is if you can teach what you know to others. We'll spend the last part of the course to record a short game video to show it off to our friends. We'll also record us teaching Roblox Studio to beginners to show everything we have learned.
